Felix Alexander Dausend, born 1981 in Germany, has been analyzing film language since childhood. He graduated business college with his DIPLOMA THESIS on "The Art of Producing, Financing and Distributing Motion Pictures profitably in the U.S. Film Industry".
After working as production assistant on a French/Austrian television FEATURE co-production, he moved to the United States in order to study filmmaking, primary focus on DIRECTING and CINEMATOGRAPHY, at the New York Film Academy, which he has been concluded with the short film "SubCon".
Currently, Felix shoots freelance as DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY in New York and New Jersey. In 2010, he has completed the 2K Digital Intermediate on the 35mm short film KEYS. Afterwards, Felix shot his fourth narrative short film, which is momentary in post-production. In between, he has finished the first draft of his original FEATURE SCREENPLAY in August 2010.
